Deposits
A deposit is a payment your customer sends to a deposit address you issued for them.
How it works
- You create a deposit address for a customer and chain.
- The customer sends crypto to that address.
- Cryptoreq detects the transfer, waits for chain confirmations, then credits your balance.
- You receive webhook events at each stage.
Deposit statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
DETECTED | Seen on-chain, below the confirmation threshold. Shows as pending balance. |
CONFIRMED | Reached the required confirmation depth. |
CREDITED | Added to your available balance. |
SWEEPING | Being consolidated internally. |
SWEPT | Fully consolidated. Your balance is unchanged. |
ORPHANED | Rolled back by a chain reorg; pending credit reversed. |
Poll GET /v1/deposits or listen for webhooks instead of assuming instant credit — confirmation depth depends on the chain (see Chains).
Webhook events
| Event | Typical use |
|---|---|
deposit.detected | Show a pending payment in your UI. |
deposit.confirmed | Mark the payment complete; funds are spendable. |
deposit.orphaned | Reverse a pending payment if the chain reorgs. |
deposit.swept | Optional tracking after credit (no balance change). |
